Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

COC Wiki (cocwiki.com) is a fan-made reference site for Clash of Clans. You can use it without an account, and we collect as little as possible. This page explains what is collected, by whom, and why.

What we don't collect

  • There are no user accounts, sign-ups or forms.
  • There are no ads, and we don't sell or share data for advertising.
  • The only things our own code keeps in your browser are the settings described below; they aren't used to track you.

Settings saved in your browser

  • Your Town Hall. If you pick a Town Hall other than the highest (top right, or on any page), it's kept for a year in a cookie named cocwiki_th, so pages open at that level. Your browser sends it only to cocwiki.com; picking the highest Town Hall again deletes it.
  • Tool data. The Base Editor saves your layout, and the Combo Calculator your levels and custom combos, in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device; clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Analytics

To understand which pages are useful, we use three analytics services. We only look at aggregated statistics (such as page views, countries, devices and referring sites), never at individual visitors.

  • Plausible Analytics is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't collect personal data. Visits are counted with a daily-changing anonymous identifier, and the data is hosted in the EU. See Plausible's data policy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our host, is also cookieless: it measures page views and loading performance without cookies, local storage or fingerprinting. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
  • Google Analytics 4 (by Google) records the pages you view, your approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived. Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland it sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*, kept for up to 2 years) to recognise returning visitors. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we set Google's consent mode to "denied", so no analytics cookies are stored there and Google receives only cookieless, anonymous pings. Advertising features and data sharing for ads are turned off everywhere. Google may process this data in the United States; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block both services with any content blocker; the site works the same without them.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives technical information with each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user agent and the referring page. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure (for example against bots and attacks) and fix errors. Logs are kept for a limited time under Cloudflare's retention periods and are not used to identify or profile visitors. To protect the site, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm).

Cloudflare processes this data as our service provider; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Embedded videos

Some army pages show a creator's video from YouTube or Bilibili. Nothing is loaded from those sites until you press play. When you do, the player is loaded from them, so they receive your IP address and browser details and may set their own cookies. YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). See Google's Privacy Policy and Bilibili's Privacy Policy. If you'd rather not load the player, don't press play; the rest of the page works without it.

If you email us

If you write to contact@cocwiki.com, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply and to deal with your request. Mail to this address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the site owner's mailbox, hosted by Google. We don't share it with anyone else, and you can ask us to delete it.

Links to other sites

Pages link to other sites, such as the Clash of Clans Wiki on Fandom and Supercell. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.

Children

The site is suitable for players of all ages. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or UK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to its use. We hold no accounts or profiles; analytics data is pseudonymous and kept by Google and Plausible, and the opt-outs above stop its collection. For anything else, including emails you sent us, write to contact@cocwiki.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change how data is handled, for example by adding another service, we will update this page and the date above first. See also our Terms of Use.
